France fundamentals are live for 376 Paris-listed companies

Financial Datasets now serves French company fundamentals. Income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial metrics for 376 companies listed in Paris are available through the same endpoints as US and UK data. Add market=FR to a request, or pass the company's ISIN, and the data comes back in the same JSON shape you already use.

Why

France is the second market outside the US, after the UK. Until now LVMH, TotalEnergies, Air Liquide, Sanofi, L'Oréal, Hermès, and hundreds of other companies with their home listing in Paris were not there. French listed companies file their annual reports in a tagged format, so the numbers come from the report the company published, in the currency it reports in. More markets are coming.

How to pull French fundamentals

A French ticker together with market=FR names the company. French tickers are the short symbols the Paris market prints, so LVMH is MC and Air Liquide is AI. French companies report once a year, so use period=annual.

import requests

headers = {"X-API-KEY": "your_api_key_here"}

url = (
    "https://api.financialdatasets.ai/financials/income-statements"
    "?ticker=AI&market=FR&period=annual&limit=3"
)

response = requests.get(url, headers=headers)
for statement in response.json()["income_statements"]:
    print(f"{statement['report_period']} {statement['currency']} revenue={statement['revenue']:,.0f} net_income={statement['net_income']:,.0f}")
2025-12-31 EUR revenue=26,940,200,000 net_income=3,517,900,000
2024-12-31 EUR revenue=27,057,800,000 net_income=3,306,100,000
2023-12-31 EUR revenue=27,607,600,000 net_income=3,078,000,000

If you know the ISIN, pass it on its own. No ticker or market is needed.

Amounts are in the currency the company reports in. Most French companies report in euros. Some, such as TotalEnergies, report in US dollars. The currency field on each statement tells you which.

To see which French companies are covered, filter any statement endpoint's tickers list by market. Each listing carries the ticker, the company name, the ISIN, and whether the company is still listed.

The France fundamentals guide walks through all three statements, financial metrics, and the as-reported routes with full examples.

What is covered

  • 376 French companies, including all 34 CAC 40 members that file in France (the other six, such as Airbus and Stellantis, file outside France), with annual history back to fiscal 2020 for most large companies.
  • Income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, normalized to the same fields as US statements.
  • Financial metrics for each annual period: margins, growth, and per-share values. Price-based values such as market cap and valuation ratios are not available for French companies yet.
  • As-reported statements with the company's own line labels and subtotals, at /as-reported on each statement endpoint.
  • Delisted companies stay in, so a backtest over French names is free of survivorship bias.
  • New annual reports are available within hours of publication.

Parameters and response formats are the same as for US and UK companies. The full list of markets and endpoints is on the market coverage page.
